Sunday Message: Lessons I Have Learned After Being Diagnosed Bipolar Type 1 by Lady Charmaine Day10/2/2021 I am me. It took me a long time, 36 years, to learn to H.E.E.D. S.I.M.P.L.E and to love and like me. That was lesson one. The second one was to accept every part of me. That took me 4 years. And the third was to realize what decisions I was making to keep myself in a victim mode. By embracing the fact that I am made in God's image and that he doesn't make mistakes...I have moved to loving me. And I have been spoiling me!!! : )
I keep the child in me alive by collecting African American Barbie dolls. I am giving to others through my ministry, NAMI, and my personal friendships. Most importantly I have forgiven everyone, including myself, for my past and making my present a gift to me. One thing I wish someone would have told me besides H.E.E.D. S.I.M.P.L.E. is you are made up of a body, spirit, and mind. All three have to be taken care of and taken into consideration when you are hit with any illness, problem or negative situation. Since human beings are comprised of a body, spirit, and mind, all three must be taken care of and taken into account when managing any kind of problem. I have learned that you must take care of your body with proper nutrition, exercise, rest and vitamin supplements. You must also work very closely with your medical provider to secure the best possible treatment. This includes educating yourself about available treatment methods and medications for your condition, and articulating any side effects you may experience to your doctor immediately so that he/she can make dosage adjustments as necessary. Regarding your spirit, I have learned from experience that being spiritually grounded will help get you through the darkest days you will face. Know that you can achieve spiritual health by praying consistently, reading your scriptures and books on your faith, and by meditating to quiet your mind so that you can achieve spiritual balance. You also need to nurture your mind by reading positive affirmations, listening to uplifting music, and by only watching shows that espouse and promote healthy ideas that can teach you new things and help you to expand your horizons. Finally, by helping others, you will also make yourself feel good as you are making a contribution to society and at the same time stimulating your mind. I consistently give of myself to others via Taboo Talk, writing messages on my blog and volunteering. When you are right spiritually, on the correct medications for your brain/body, and are feeding your mind positive thoughts and affirmations, you can only be one thing: HEALTHY and HAPPY. Remember to treat your temple like what it is, a temple. Stop abusing your body! Treat the gift of life with reverence and respect. Honoring God by taking care of the precious gift of life he has given you. From this point forward, make it a point to eat healthy, exercise and be the best representation of God on the planet. And lastly, I am living proof that you can come back from anything and have a good life. Remember that a delay is not a denial but a greater delivery. God will give you mercy in your time of need if you pray for it. And when it comes, it is so sweet and always on time. Don’t forget to praise God for his mercy! I pray that you are having a good Day and that you have a phenomenal remainder of the week filled with God's grace, mercy, favor, peace, happiness, good health, prosperity and rest in the name of Jesus Christ according to Luke 1:37"for with God nothing shall be impossible!!!" Amen Sending you love from my side of the world. Until next time take care of yourself and stay special!!! Sincerely, #LadyCharmaineDay Pastor, Unlimited Help Online Ministry www.ladycharmaineday.com
