1. Your body is the temple of God. Did you know your body is the temple of God? According to I Corinthians 6:19-20: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” I urge you today to love and like yourself and to begin to honor your body, the temple of God, by treating it right. By right I mean eating good food (e.g. vegetables, fruit and lean cuts of meat) and by taking the time to exercise your body as well as dress appropriately. While here on Earth, you represent God and are ambassador of God. I encourage you to be the best representation of God on the planet!! Remember to treat your temple like what it is, a temple. Stop abusing your body! Treat the gift of life with reverence and respect. Honoring God by taking care of the precious gift of life he has given you. All of this is a form of worshipping God and taking the time to love and like yourself.
2. Get into an exercise schedule and stick to it. If you develop this habit, you will be in good physical shape for the rest of your life. If you don’t you will quickly lose your body over time. By eating good and nutritious food and exercising regularly you will have a happier life because you are doing the right things to fuel your body and to give you energy. By implementing the right food and exercise habits you will be better equipped to lead the best life possible. You also be treating your body like the temple of God and in doing so will be living your life as your thank you to God for the precious gift of life.
3. The most powerful tool you have available to you to use is your mind. Keep it young and active. Stimulate it by filling it with positive information and wisdom and by exercising it with dreams, goals, ambitions and physically working it out with tasks, exercises like word games, reading, and prayer.Set goals for yourself. Write the goals in a small book that you can keep with you. Make the goal measurable in terms of time. And as you reach each goal, write new ones. The key is to have something to look forward to and to keep your mind active. Visualize. As a leader you must hone this skill to sustain your faith. Often people can’t see what you see. God gives YOU the vision. It is his gift to you. Be self-determined to see your dreams through from the beginning to the end so when you look back over your life you will see a wonderful life full of completed dreams!
